The article reminds us that violent conflicts are increasing, globally. So, governments should prioritize huge investments in holistic peacebuilding initiatives rather than militarized interventions, solely. Also, when not addressed, the humanitarian impact of violent conflicts become devastating, including an increased threat of disease, famine and forced displacements, driving people to live in either refugee camps or with host communities.
